When one of the largest banks in south India deployed ANTsteinTM — the intelligent, integrated, softbot — its first task was to ‘read’ all the scanned documents. It was able to distinguish between handwriting and signatures, photos and forms, male and female, and yes / no binary questions.
Once this was done, the information was also put in context, and formatted to meet Government of India guidelines for ‘Know Your Customer’ compliance. All the bank had to do after this was upload the records to the central repository.
