Sheikh Hamad was the man who transformed Qatar Petroleum into a learning and performance-based corporation and greatly influenced Qatar’s development. His illustrious stints in the government of Qatar in various capacities include Secretary General of the Planning Council, Director General of General Secretariat for Development Planning and Chairman of Qatar Statistics Authority. He has played a pivotal role in the development of Qatar Vision 2030. As an entrepreneur, he is focusing on the development of companies in the knowledge-based economy field.
Zafar has lived in the Middle East for over 25 years. He heads multiple successful businesses in the region. Zafar started his career in India and has worked for several private and public sector companies. His business interests range from providing services to oil and gas industry, information technology solutions to various industries, manufacturing and distribution of natural herbal products. Zafar is deeply influenced by Aristotle’s saying, “In all things of nature there is something of the marvelous.”

Dr. Javaid Sheikh is currently the Dean of Weill Cornell Medical College, Qatar (WCMC-Q). Dr. Sheikh has been a professor of psychiatry and behavioural sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine. A well-known medical executive, a distinguished academician and a thought leader in global academic medicine and population health, Dr. Sheikh has pioneered many innovative biomedical, educational and research programs. Dr. Sheikh has extensive experience as an angel investor in multiple startups in the Silicon Valley and as a scientific advisor to several biomedical companies.

An outsourcing veteran with over 18 years of cross-industry global experience, Asheesh has been VP and head of Infosys BPO – Asia Pacific, Japan and the Middle East. Under his unique leadership, Infosys BPO has grown its business through both organic and acquisitive routes and managed the region with two delivery centres in the Philippines and three in China. Asheesh has worked with large ITES organizations such as Mphasis, TCS and WNS in various leadership roles. He has been conferred the ‘People’s Choice for Personal Contribution to Industry – APAC’ award by The Shared Services & Outsourcing Network (SSON) in 2011 and ‘Thought Leader of the Year – Asia’ award in 2010. Asheesh is an avid scuba diver and an F1 enthusiast.

Govind has worked with various Fortune 500 companies in his career of 17 years. He holds an extensive track record in business development for the US and UK markets. An expert in mergers & acquisitions and change management, he has led one of the largest captive acquisitions in India. He has worked with TCS, Capita and WNS. In his latest assignment, Govind served as the Director for Business Services at Capita heading India strategy, capability development, business transformation and mergers & acquisitions. Prior to this, he has been the CFO and head of business transformation for the WNS Aviva business unit managing 6,000 people. In his free time, Govind loves to read and travel.

Supported by a team of employees spread globally on five continents and outsource service partners, he is responsible for the information systems & technology, procurement, finance, people and group property service delivery functions. Scott is a recognized thought leader in world-class supply chain management, advanced sourcing strategies, outsourcing, and cloud computing. He enjoys scuba diving and exploring the sea and has been doing it for three decades.
